The year comes and goes

The year comes and goes
Yes, the year comes and goes. But the year does not just come and neither does it just go.
Many at times, there are certain varied things, situations and issues that fall our way during the year.
Some are very good and worth celebrating. Others not as good as we wish but in the end we may want to keep fighting stronger till the last breathe or may let go easily.

At the end of each year, many of us begin to falter and shiver and lose hope with many uncertainties about the next year. With many questions going through our heads. Many may still have unresolved resolutions and plans that didn't fall into play like expected. Many of us will lament and complain so much.

I come your way to tell you just this: it has never been late for our God! My GOD, He can do it better, far better than you can even think. He hold you firmly and protects you even to the very end.
We must know; a seemingly short 24 hour duration is likened unto Him a thousand years while a thousand years are like unto him a day, Bible says in the second book of Peter
2 Peter 3:8 ¶ But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
We must keep it in mind and live with it consciously, that it becomes so conscious in our sub conscious. That we may see its fruits, for He is still on your issue. The Psalmist puts it so exquisitely, he says:
Psalm 121:4 Behold, He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
He says see, be a witness to this, observe carefully, watch with so much intent and attention, see what He is doing. He that is on your case is neither asleep nor slumbering. He is still carefully and skillfully working on your issue.
Your miracle is a min, an hour, a day away. You might just need to cross over the Year and your situation will have crossed over as well. It is not very far from now, be encouraged, be of good cheer  Acts 27:25 (YLT) wherefore be of good cheer, men! For I believe God, that so it shall be, even as it hath been spoken to me,

Your year is not ending any how any way. It is ending gloriously. For the lord watches on. He is not done with you. Not just yet.
Ps 65:11 (KJV) Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.
I prophesy over your Life even in this sleeping moments of 2016, may The Lord crown your year with His glorious goodness and may He fill your path with His wonderful fatness.
Lines fall in perfect places for you.
The Lord knows and has planned the course of your star even in the coming year.
Workman of God, don't faint, press on, for your glory is just a moment away.
Hold on.
Ecclesiastes 9:11 (KJV) I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race [is] not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.

Proverbs 21:31 (RSV) The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but the victory belongs to the LORD.
Your victory is being echoed in eternity. Even as the year slowly falls to sleep and you transcendentally enter into 2017. May all that you seek to do and fulfill, all that you need and desire, May they be delivered at your very feet.
1Chronciles 17:23-24 [23] (BBE) And now, Lord, let your words about your servant and about his family be made certain forever, and do as you have said. [24] So let your words be made certain and your name be made great, when men say, The Lord of armies is the God of Israel; and when the family of David your servant is made strong before you.
May that which the Lord said concerning your life be established and even for your family
In the name of Jesus, Amen!

Leap … Leap … Leap

Leap … Leap … Leap
Finally... You might have sighed.

Gradually, your academic aim for coming to this otherwise dreaded, yet beautiful land of a high learning will be fulfilled.

While others are just a last leap away.
Some of you it is just the first major leap in seeing the fruition of your aspirations.
Others it is an added feat to the long list of successes chalked and still the list ahead is long....

For the first leapers the road ahead might seem vague, I only ask you to Look to JESUS.

The "long listers" I recommend JESUS.

The final leapers JESUS is all you need to make it through victoriously.

Being encompassed by the cloud of witness watching on to see you excel, you have no excuse.

Pioneering UHAS Graduates(2016)
Hebrew 12:1 (KJV) Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

The road ahead is already carted, run the race to victory not making a great deal of the troubles: the present troubles, the past troubles and those that are ahead.

Hold on to JESUS.

You will make it to the end more than a conqueror.

Congrats y'all

The Stair Case.

The Stair Case.

Prior to the days of the water pumping machines which ensured there was potable water always available at home,  the notable routine for young boys and girls was to carry gallons of water sometimes on their heads as they trekked short or long distances  to ensure the availability of water within their homes.

This remarkable chore was a habitual demand that characterized the early days of the young lads that lived at the flagstaff house barracks.  Each morning and sometimes in the evenings,  you are sure to find abled young boys going up and down the six-set flight of stairs (my very particular case) with either two(2) sets of a twenty five litre (25ltrs) or a single fifty litre (50ltrs) cooking oil gallon that had been converted to water storage containers.
It was always the case to meet a friend or two at the intermediate landing zone, and for the next few or so minutes, the very aim of fetching water was lost.

Subsequently, several minutes will be spent on either a gossip, a movie or the planned football match, the least said about the outings and video games the better. Many of us refused to heed to the call of our parents to hurry up and finish with the purpose for which we went all the way down the stairs to fulfil anyway.

In those days, we were careful to run our mouths with many excuses, complaining of the herculean task that was set before us either by over-estimating the total number of stairs for the entire block or by predicting the large number of people at the taps (which were both mostly false).
This story was not only confined to the young men and sometimes ladies on my block, but transcended to other blocks as well.

On one of such a half fruitful course, a tiny voice said to me, "Henry will you stop these excuses you keep giving and finish up what you came to do and make your parents proud." And there it hit me like a moving train and that was the turning point.
The focus of every activity is that which must be attained, at the tail end of the staircase. There upon reaching will the goal be met. The goal has never been put half way-at the intermediate landing zone. The prize, that which makes you a “winner” is achieving fully that which you have been called to do.

To begin with, we all have aims or goals we have purposed or set sights to reach. For instance, we want to be as good as that Minister, play the guitar like no other or sing melodiously to our God in worship. You might have even wished to blow the trumpet to glorify God, or decide to be a church leader or be in service to God. Thus, even as we wish or dream, we must concentrate all efforts in actualising them.
Philippians 3:14 (KJV) reads that,
“I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."

Service to God has not ever ended with the decision to do, as we have all been called to be ministers of God. The decision to do, must not be halted half-way at the intermediary landing zone “to rest”
“to celebrate” and “ to feel fulfilled.”
Although praises may start to flow and it seems all has been achieved, that's not the final straw. It may be seen as done and dusted, when you minister to the first 50 congregation or play the first song on the guitar or it seems you are have had a firm grip on blowing the trumpet. No! Much more needs to be done.  Press harder. Even when it seems the congregation turned up as (5 you inclusive), or you can’t seem to play a single line of a song on the keyboard or pressing on the first valve of the trumpet becomes a problem. You need to press on till the prize is won.

1Corinthians 9:24 reads,
"Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize?" So run, that ye may obtain the final prize.
The staircase may be winding, but don’t give up there. The fun is overwhelming but don’t stop there!
The staircase is a step at a time, thus take the foot onto the tread, no matter how high the riser. You need to keep going. The Master’s work must be done.

God bless you. In Jesus name, Amen
